Microneedling RF & PRP
Give your skin new life with Morpheus8 radiofrequency (RF) microneedling at our Livermore med spa serving the Pleasanton and San Ramon, CA, areas. Also called CIT (collagen induction therapy), microneedling helps your skin increase its own collagen and elastin production, rejuvenating your appearance. By creating tiny microinjuries to the dermis and heating the underlying layers, RF microneedling encourages your skin to repair and restore itself. The results are improved skin texture and a reduced appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks, and acne scars.
When performed by a skilled provider such as one of our experienced medical professionals, this treatment can create a youthful, more even glow and reduce or reverse many common signs of aging. Our providers often include platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance these rejuvenating effects further.

What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a nonsurgical aesthetic treatment that uses very small needles to create microinjuries in your skin, encouraging your body’s natural healing process. RF microneedling offers the added benefit of heating the deeper layers of the dermis, further boosting collagen production and firming the skin.
After applying a topical anesthetic to keep you comfortable,
your provider uses a handpiece containing tiny needles to administer a series
of controlled-depth punctures in your treated area. This stimulates the skin’s
reparative response, which includes producing anti-aging proteins collagen and
elastin.
If you opt to include PRP, we’ll start by drawing a small
amount of blood and processing it in a centrifuge to derive a serum full of
naturally healing platelets. We’ll apply this to your treated area and allow it
to soak into the punctures, boosting the healing and regenerating process.
What Does Microneedling Treat?
Microneedling can treat a wide range of skin concerns,
including:
- Mild to moderate acne scarring
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Loose and lax skin
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Large pore size
- Sun damage
- Superficial pigmentation
- Hypopigmentation/hyperpigmentation
- Surgical scars
- Stretch marks
People with more severe cases of these concerns often choose to enhance their microneedling results with other treatments, such as HydraFacial® or laser skin resurfacing.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Microneedling?
Anyone who wants to improve skin irregularities and look younger may be a good candidate. Microneedling is safe for just about all skin tones and types.

How Many Microneedling Treatments Will I Need?
A single procedure typically creates noticeable
improvements, but a series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart is
ideal for optimal results.
What Is Microneeding Recovery Like?
Microneedling recovery mostly involves “social downtime,”
with skin appearing red like a sunburn for around 24 hours. Your provider will
give you instructions for looking after your skin as it heals.
When Will I See My Microneedling Results?
About a week after the treatment, your skin will likely appear
more vibrant and healthy. Within 2 weeks you will start to see even more improvement
that will continue for 3 or so months as collagen and elastin rebuilding take
place.
How Much Does Microneedling Cost?
The cost of microneedling depends on several factors,
including the number of treatments and the size of your treated area. We will
happily discuss your individual pricing with you after assessing your concerns
at your initial consultation.
